CardioVascular and Interventional Radiology (CVIR) is a double-blind peer-reviewed medical journal and it is the official journal of  CIRSE.

Founded in 1978 by Professors Herbert L. Abrams and Eberhard Zeitler, CVIR is the oldest journal in the field.

CVIR publishes original research work including clinical and laboratory investigations, technical notes, case reports, works in progress, and letters to the editor, as well as review articles, pictorial essays, editorials, and special invited submissions in the field of vascular and interventional radiology. 

 

Impact Factor

Over the years, the journal has become known for its cutting-edge research, fast manuscript processing times and high impact factor.

CVIR currently has an impact factor of 2.144.

 

The International Platform for Interventional Radiology

CVIR submissions come from all four corners of the globe, making it the international platform for interventional radiology.

The global nature of the journal is further strengthened by its international group of Editors and Editorial Board Members who come from over 24 different countries.

CVIR is also the official organ of 21 national IR Societies.
