Global Statement - Have We Reached the Tipping Point

We are excited to announce the publication of the "Global Statement - Have We Reached the Tipping Point" by Robert A. Morgan, Parag J. Patel, Christoph Binkert and Alda Tam, on behalf of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE) and the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR)!

In 2010, a global writing group of interventional radiology societies developed the original "Global Statement Defining Interventional Radiology," establishing the foundational principles of the specialty for interventional radiologists worldwide. Given the significant changes in the field over the past fifteen years, CIRSE and SIR have collaborated this year to revise and update this important document.

The revised edition titled "Global Statement - Have We Reached the Tipping Point," has been endorsed by 47 national and regional interventional radiology societies. It has been published open access, making it available for all to read and share. Like the original 2010 document, the new edition has been published in CVIR and JVIR, to ensure that it reaches the widest possible audience.

Sharing this knowledge can foster broader discussions and awareness in the field of interventional radiology, ultimately contributing to the continued advancement of our field. We hope you find it insightful and encourage you to help spread the word by citing the paper in your own work:
